Our DEI working group is excited and happy to have this opportunity to highlight the efforts the society is putting in to improve Diversity Equity and Inclusivity.
Besides an update on the results of our DEI Survey, membership numbers and the upcoming climate survey, we also want to share inspiring and insightful stories from powerful women in leadership positions like Prof. Patricia Sylla (Professor of Surgery and System Chief of the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Mount Sinai Health System in NYC) and Prof. Samar Alhomoud (President of the Saudi Society of Colon & Rectal Surgery).
Trainees are particularly encouraged to attend, this breakfast session provides a platform to make new contacts, renew friendships, share experiences and get inspired with fellow colleagues and experienced colorectal surgeons.
Free of charge but limited to 150 participants maximum.
