ESCP’s focus throughout January centred around strengthening the society’s global reach as it continues its dedication towards promoting and advancing the prevention, treatment, education and research into colorectal disease internationally.
ESCP’s Twitter page used the hashtag #ESCPGlobalReach to encourage the online colorectal community to fuel worldwide collaboration and engage in discussions around current and upcoming educational initiatives, training opportunities and the latest clinical research and developments.
The topic was effectively coordinated by consultant colorectal surgeon Peter Christensen (Denmark) and Y-ESCP member James Glasbey (United Kingdom) who secured valuable video contributions from renowned surgeons across the world including ESCP President, Willem Bemelman. Educational abstracts were shared, along with invaluable insights into the CREST platform, EAGLE study and PROPHER study amongst others.
Here’s a few highlights which you may have missed…
The topic kicked off with an introduction from the coordinators who established the #ESCPGlobalReach competition. The lucky winner Marta Pascual (Barcelona) will receive free full registration to #ESCP2020 in Vilnius this September.
