Host of global expert speakers confirmed for ESCP’s 14th Annual Meeting, held at the Austria Centre, Vienna from 25-27 September 2019.
With just one month to go until the European Society of Coloproctology’s (ESCP) 14th Scientific and Annual Meeting, anticipation is building for what is set to be the biggest programme to date.
Delegates from over 70 different countries will have the opportunity to hear from a host of world-leading experts offering presentations on some of the most important developments in coloproctology.
ESCP’s flagship event takes place between 25 and 27 September and returns to Vienna, Austria for the first time since 2012. It will showcase more of the latest innovation, research and practice than ever before. Demand for the conference continues to grow year on year and the number of delegates in Vienna is expected to surpass the 1,800 who attended last year’s event in Nice, France. The three-day event has already seen nearly 400 trainee delegates register, the highest ever for the conference.
Austria’s largest conference centre - The Austria Centre Vienna – will play host to the event, providing a number of high-profile speakers the platform to present informative talks on their desired topics. Over the course of the three days, nearly 100 presentations and research sessions will be on offer featuring well-known speakers including Klaus Matzel, colorectal robotics researcher; Quentin Denost, a leading voice on rectal cancer and Julio Mayol, key digital researcher.
Per Nilsson, President of ESCP, said:
“There is always an air of excitement and anticipation around our annual conference which is regarded by many as the biggest date in the coloproctologist’s diary – and this year is no exception. I am looking forward to returning to Vienna where we had our 8th conference seven years ago and hope to draw contrasts on how much the Society has grown since then. It will be a pleasure to welcome all of our participants from across the world to Austria’s capital next month.”
A series of hands-on, pre-conference educational sessions will again be delivered in collaboration with industry partners, where attendees will have the opportunity to participate in interactive learning sessions and gain experience of using cutting edge technology and techniques from some of Europe’s leading specialists. These sessions will be limited in size to maximise time using equipment so it is advised that participants who may be interested book as early as possible.
The conference will also include symposia delivered in partnership with the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation (ECCO), the European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (EAES) and the European Hereditary Tumour Group (EHTG) to bring together the highest calibre of speakers in each field.
The official ESCP app will again provide users with a wealth of information over the course of the paperless conference. To download this exclusive app for free, search 'ESCP' on the Android or Apple app stores.
