Only 4 weeks remain before a host of high-profile speakers address delegates from 66 different countries during lectures, symposia, sold-out courses and other events at ESCP's 13th Scientific and Annual Meeting.
The conference, which showcases the latest in innovation, research and best practice in the coloproctological field will take place in Nice, France between 26 and 28 September this year. This year is expected to be the biggest annual conference yet - surpassing the 1,700 delegates who attended the Berlin meeting last year. The three-day event has also seen nearly 400 trainee delegates register, the highest ever for the conference.
Delegates at the conference, which will be held at the Acropolis Convention Centre will hear from several high-profile speakers over the course of three days including Sir John Burn, the renowned geneticist, Michael Seres, a key patient advocate and Johan Askling, a leading voice on data in surgical research.
In a new format interactive session, delegates will also be able to hear from both trainees and host centres on their experiences of ESCP-funded Fellowships, with the unique opportunity to question each side on the ins and outs of a professional learning experience.
Ethem Gecim, President of ESCP, said:
“There is a fantastic level of excitement building as our latest annual conference draws closer and shapes up to be our biggest yet. The number of young trainee delegates registering is also far beyond what they would expect at this point. I am looking forward to welcoming all of our participants from across the world to Nice next month.”
A series of pre-conference hands-on educational sessions will also be delivered in collaboration with industry partners, where attendees will have the opportunity to participate in interactive learning sessions and gain experience of using cutting edge technology and techniques from some of Europe’s leading specialists
The conference will also include symposia delivered in partnership with the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation (ECCO), the European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (EAES) and the European Hereditary Tumour Group (EHTG) to bring together the highest calibre of speakers in each field.
The ESCP app will again provide users with a wealth of information over the course of the conference via its official app. Get this exclusive app for free from the Android or iOS app stores.
