An Interview with Pofessor Gianluca Pellino

ESCP is dedicating this time to colorectal surgery training. We are interviewing experts and educators from around the world, aiming to assess current colorectal training status globally, highlighting pros and cons, and identifying sustainable pathways for improvement.
Gianluca Pellino is the research coordinator of the colorectal unit of Vall d'Hebron University Hospital and "Profesor Asociado" at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona UAB, Spain, and is the Chair of the Young ESCP Committee. He has had several mentors during his career so far and in this interview, he speaks to Miguel Cunha about how important mentoring is, how the industry can attract and retain talent, as well as barriers to leadership. They also mention how much of a role innovation has on shaping future leaders.
