ESCP is delighted to announce that Dr Eloy Espin-Basany has been selected by the Executive Committee as the new incoming Assistant Secretary for the Society.
Dr Espin will begin his term of office in September 2013, following the ESCP meeting in Belgrade. He will then succeed Mr Peter Dawson as Secretary when he demits office in September 2014.
Eloy Espin-BasanyDr Espin completed his surgical training in Barcelona and in 2001 he passed his EBSQ-coloproctology in Maastricht. He is currently head of the colorectal surgery unit at Hospital Valle de Hebron, Barcelona and professor of Surgery at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. He has previously served on the ESCP Council as National Representative for Spain and has been an active member of the Society since it was formed.
