Today patients and healthcare professionals around the world celebrate World Digestive Health Day (WDHD) to show their respect for and raise awareness of the many patients who suffer from the various forms of digestive diseases.
This year, special attention is given to gut microbes and their strong influence on the development of many diseases within the digestive tract, including colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease.
ESCP is supporting the efforts of United European Gastroenterology (UEG) and the European Society of Neurogastroenterology and Motility (ESNM), who on this occasion produced the video below to educate the general population about the importance of maintaining a healthy gut and hence, prevent digestive diseases.
