#ColorectalLIVE is coming to Virtually Vilnius and you can join the episode, from Johnson & Johnson Institute and Ethicon, on Wednesday 23 September 20:00-21:00 CEST.
Prof Des Winter, BJS Editor-in-Chief, consultant surgeon at St Vincent’s University Hospital (Dublin) is the current chair of the ESCP Programme Committee. In this sixth episode of #ColorectalLIVE, Richard Brady, Consultant Colorectal Surgeon (UK), will be talking to Des about his career, research and clinical interests, and the direction of academic publishing. The interview will be broadcast live on Twitter as part of ESCP’s much anticipated 15th annual conference, #ESCP2020 ‘Virtually Vilnius’ at 20:00 CEST.
Des said:
"The chair of the programme committee is a challenging role, even more so when the pandemic hit. This virtual conference has been interesting to put together with the whole ESCP team. The potential reach is wider and more inclusive online.
"Chatting with Richard live on Wednesday will be fun - although the prospect of talking about myself makes me apprehensive. Hopefully we will have plenty of questions about academia and publishing to save my media shy self!"
Richard added:
"I can’t wait to sit down with Des for #ColorectalLIVE as part of an exciting line-up of symposia at ESCP 2020. Des has vast experience and the unique perspective of being involved with ESCP while also editor in chief at BJS. I am sure it will be an enjoyable and enlightening discussion and I look forward to seeing delegates tune in."
