Following some years of fight against a malignant disease, Professor Lars Påhlman passed away on Saturday November 21, 2015, at the age of 69. After Medical School at Uppsala University and a few years with basic surgical training in a district hospital, Lars Påhlman started an enormously successful academic and surgical career in Uppsala, Sweden.On 27 Oct 2015
A few days prior to ESCP Dublin 2015, twelve senior trainees in coloproctology took part in pre-congress placements at six centres of excellence in Ireland. Many congratulations to our prizewinners from ESCP Dublin! Milou Martens (the Netherlands) won the BJS Society Prize for the Best of the Six Best Papers, and Sebastian Smolarek (United Kingdom) won the Best Lunchtime Poster award. They were presented with their prizes at the meeting.Page 123 of 138
