We have excellent news for those who missed out on a place at the Operative Techniques for Parastomal Hernia Prevention and Repair Workshop - twelve more places (lecture only) are now available at a reduced rate of €60 for senior surgeons/non-trainees and €50 for trainees.
Places for this hands-on workshop where delegates will first learn, and then practice, operative techniques for surgical treatments of parastomal hernias booked up within days of opening. But now twelve more lucky delegates will be able to participate in the lecture and symposium segment of the workshop from 9:00am to 14:00pm.
This part of the workshop offers an in-depth learning opportunity for those interested in open and laparoscopic approaches for the repair and prevention of parastomal hernias. The lecture and symposium section of the workshop will also include presentations from world-renowned experts on topics such as:
- need and timing for repair of parastomal hernia
- abdominal wall reconstruction
- techniques for prophylactic mesh reinforcement and repair of parastomal hernia
Based on a previously successful format and chaired by course director Muhammad Imran Aslam (UK), the lecture and symposium will offer training and insights from Neil Smart (UK), Philipp Kirchhoff (Switzerland), Jan Lambrecht (Norway), Miguel García Ureña (Spain), and Sanjay Chaudhri (UK). It will also feature patient perspectives about operative and non-operative management of parastomal hernia from Sue Blackwell (a patient representative from UK).
Attendees will leave with an enhanced and practical understanding of the many ways to tackle parastomal hernia from a surgical perspective. Having heard from some of the world’s foremost experts on this, they will also be able to network with lecturers and fellow workshop delegates on the ESCP app.
What’s more, those who do register for and attend the workshop stand the best chance of getting offered vacant practical workshop places should anyone fail to arrive on time. At only €50-60 per delegate, there is no time to lose in securing your place.
The symposium and lecture part of the workshop will run from 9:00 am to 14:00 pm on Tuesday 25 September and delegates will be offered lunch. More details and the option to book your place are available on the ESCP app - download your copy from the Android or iOS stores.
