ESCP’s 5th Regional Masterclass in Stockholm was the most international yet with 126 surgeons from 13 countries attending to learn from leading European experts about best practice and the latest research on managing colon cancer. The Masterclass was held in conjunction with the Swedish Colorectal Days.
The ESCP faculty was delighted to welcome to Stockholm surgeons from Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Italy, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, The Netherlands, Oman, Portugal, Romania and the UK, in addition to Swedish colleagues.
Attendees at the Masterclass heard various perspectives on assessing acute presentation of colon cancer, timing of surgery, implications for surgeons of left versus right sided colon cancers, as well as gaining insights into new techniques and procedures.
Per Nilsson, ESCP President Elect, who led the organising committee said “It was excellent to see delegates from across Europe coming together to share knowledge and perspectives on treating colon cancer. These Masterclasses offer great opportunities for surgeons to develop their knowledge and build their professional networks.”
If you missed the Stockholm Masterclass don’t worry, the next Regional Masterclass will take place on Monday 19 November 2018 in Rome. Put this date in your diary and watch this space for more details this summer!
