Dieter Hahnloser, Chair of the Regional Events Working Group, reports on ESCP's first visit to the Arabian Peninsula for this masterclass.
The 3rd Beyond Europe Masterclass was held in Riyadh in conjunction with the Saudi Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery on 3-4 March 2024.
There were 300 participants on in-person and 150 online. Participants from all the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, USA, New Zealand and Europe attended this Masterclass on Modern Management of Colon and Rectal Cancer.
Discussion were lively allowing enough time to interact with trainees from all Arabia. Dr Samar Alhomoud organised a perfect meeting.

We also had the opportunity to promote the EBSQ Coloproctology examination certifying excellence in colorectal surgery in and beyond Europe.
