Welcome to this new European executive programme which allows junior colorectal surgeons to develop a network early in their career with specialised host centres, personnel and the alumni of this innovative programme.

This project aims to develop an executive colorectal programme for senior trainee/surgical registrars and junior consultants in coloproctology.

  • The target participants are senior resident, colorectal fellows or junior consultants (first 5 years of practice)
  • The learning objectives are colorectal education in cancer maangement, IBD, pelvic floor and proctology, creating a network of a young generation of surgeons

In groups of four, participants will visit eight centres in seven countries over this two-year programme.

Applications will open on 25 September 2024, with a deadline of 31 October 2024.

Programme

The same programme will occur in every host centre.

Day 1

  • 13:00 - 14:00 Visit of the Hospital and Medical Facilities
  • 14:00 - 17:00 Live operating, visit of the OR
  • 17:00 - 19:00 Lectures and discussion

Day 2

  • 08:00 - 17:00 Live operating

Eligibility criteria

  • Be a fully paid member of ESCP (i.e. full, trainee etc.) for a minimum of 12 months
  • Be a senior trainee, senior surgical registrar or junior consultant within the first five years of your career
